26 Weeks Pregnant!

So now that I have been in my second trimester for a few months (next week @ 27 weeks I will be in my 3rd)  I have been feeling so much better. Second trimester was a breeze compared to the first. I am able to eat again which shows since I have gained 13 pounds! :) No stretch marks yet!!! Thank God! I am able to be active again going to the gym and doing a lot of Christmas Shopping! Christmas is just around the corner. Yesterday marked the day that we only have 100 days left! :) Super excited! Things that I have noticed that are changing this week is a lot of back pain, like siatica. Carlos' parents got us sharks tickets and I could hardly walk....but I dragged myself to go anyways. We almost got all of our Christmas shopping done yesterday, we just have a couple more things to grab.

A couple of nights ago I felt the baby move in my stomach! It was a crazy feeling....I couldn't believe it. It woke me up from almost falling asleep and I knew at that exact moment that I had felt my precious little baby! LOVE!

The Suburban

This past weekend Carlos and I made the decision to purchase a Suburban for me to drive. I loved the idea at first but when I started driving it around I just felt like such a MOM! It's crazy how much you have to change to become a mother. I mean I could have driven my little car but I just think that it would have been so uncomfortable for me and the baby. The suburban has 3 tvs and is super nice! We are lucky that Uncle Pat and Aunt Sandra gave us such a good deal!

The Cabin

This weekend me, Carlos, and Jackson went up to the cabin with Becky, Isaac, Kevin, Aunt Peggy, Jonny, Joanna, and Rufus. We drove up on Saturday morning around 10am and went straight to the cabin. We then went to dinner at Snow Shoe! YUM! I had a tiny sip of the apricot beer that they have there because it's my favorite! Sunday which is today we went to the lake and the guys went jet skiing....I couldn't because I am pregnant which totally sucks because I love jet skiing! :/ But I have to make sacrifices. There is always next year. :)

Week 8-10

I had such a difficult time during these weeks. I stayed home from work everyday and didn't clean the house or even move from the sofa. I could hardly eat my stomach hurt 24/7. I cried almost everyday out of frustration. Things that I found that really helped me: Preggo Pops and candy from Babies'r'us. Fruit because it was something but wasn't heavy enough to cause my stomach to hurt more. I drank ginger ale but for whatever reason stopped after a couple of days because I felt like it was making me sick. I completely stopped drinking coffee....which was SOOOOO hard for me to do because if you know me at all I LOVE coffee! I completely stayed away from anything sweet except for the things listed above. I would nap at least once a day. At this point in my pregnancy I was like....I am never doing this again!

Week 11

I am now on week 11.....My baby is the size of a lime and is starting to able to open and close it's hands. Food: I am ALWAYS starving!!!!!! The morning sickness is almost completely gone, as long as I eat. Usually my routine is wake up in the morning and eat right away. I usually have a pancake but add an egg to the batter for protein. I also use Blueberry Syrup....which is delicious! I also drink a glass of milk with this. It keeps me full for about an hour and a half. Then I usually try to snack on something like banana or other fruit. I have been going out to lunch a lot lately because it is so hard to cook and smell the food before you eat it....it makes me sick. I try to eat a yogurt a day and sometimes I will have a chocolate pudding or something like that. I try to keep a lot of protein in my diet because it seems to fill me up more. I try to eat beef more then usual now. For dinner I usually eat whatever the hubby wants or we go out. I then sometimes have a root beer float after the gym! :) Workout: I have been trying to go to the gym more. At first I was nervous because I didn't want to "bounce my baby out of place". So I stayed home while the hubby went to the gym. Now that I am feeling better I have been trying to either take the dogs for a walk in the morning or go to the gym after my hubby gets home from work. On Tuesday I was finally able to bike for 7 miles!!!! I am hoping to get back up to my pre-pregnancy amount which is 10 miles a day. Weight: I haven't gained a single pound yet. I am so lucky because I go on other peoples sites and see that they have gain 10-15 pounds already. My Hubby: He is amazing! I am so lucky to have him. He is so kind and sweet to me. He gives me whatever I want even though most of the time I don't ask for it very nicely. I need to work on that! :/ Dog: Right now I have my own puppy Jackson who is a 9 month old mini Aussie. We go to agility every Thursday where I try and keep up with him....but am slowing down because of being so out of breath and over heated. I also have Ally who is a 3 1/2 month old Black Lab puppy. I am training her on Service Dog work but I need to be working with her more!

Pregnant!

My husband and I have been married for over two years now. We lived in an apartment for a year and then moved in with Carlos' family for 3 months until our house was ready. We have been living in our house for a year now. We love having a yard and room to grow. We recently went on our final vacation to the Caribbean before we try to start having a baby. We started trying for a baby in June 2013, it only took a few short weeks and a couple of at home pregnancy tests to see that I was PREGNANT! I was shocked that it happened so fast. I thought it would take months for us to get pregnant especially with my medical back round...the doctors said I might not be able to get pregnant. But here we were are realizing that we are going to be parents in 9 months! We were so excited and very overwhelmed. Our first ultra sound was at 7 weeks. We went into Kaiser so nervous and scared. As soon as we got into the room she did an internal ultrasound. She did it right away because she could tell how nervous we were. Sure enough we got to see our little Ducky! So tiny! Up until 7 weeks I felt pretty normal. I had a few weird things happen like a dark spot on my fast which is caused by the changes in my hormones. Around 8 weeks I started feeling really exhausted as well as sick to my stomach. Nothing sounded good as far as food....I barely ate. If I smelt something before I ate it I couldn't eat it at all. So starting now I am going to be talking a lot about my pregnancy and what I have found to be help or not! :)
