Redlands!!!!

So today My boyfriend and I are going to Redlands to get ready for his graduation. (He is graduating from Redlands University in May.) I am planning on taking Buzz. This will be a great learning experience for him. We have to drive 6 1/2 hours to get to the school. I can't wait!!!

The Pond!

Yesterday I decided to take the puppies to the pond to play off leash. They were so cute swimming and running around. On our way back to the car they decided to run through dried fox tails....which get stuck in dogs fur, in between their tows, and in their ears, they have been known to cause serious infections, when they get stuck in the skin. My mom and I sat at home for at least an hour pulling foxtails out of their poodle hair. :/ Not fun!

Penny's First Beach Day

April 8th was Penny's first trip to the beach. We went to a beach where there were a lot of other friendly dogs chasing balls and swimming. Penny did NOT like the ocean at first, the huge waves crashing on shore scared her. After I went in (only knee deep, cause it's so cold) she decided that it wasn't so bad after all. After only 10 min. she was exhausted and slept on the beach right next to me while I layed out in the warm sun. ;)

Buzz

Buzz is one if the Labradoodles, that I have been training over the last month or so, to become a Service Dog. At first he was very very shy, and I didn't think that he could ever be a Service Dog. I didn't give up on him though and kept working to build his confidence. He is starting to really warm up to me, and I am starting to fall in love with him. He is so gentle and loving, it's easy to just hangout with him. He is definitely going to be a "Gentle Giant".

First Field Trip....

The puppies had their first field trip Monday. We went to Sushi in Japan Town, they had to sit under the sushi boat which is a little small and cramped but they are so little so they just hungout under my chair. Buzz cried for the first 15 minutes, but Penny layed down and slept, which caused Buzz to calm down after awhile. After Sushi we went to test drive some cars, they were so exhausted by this time that they crashed on a small piece of grass and slept for at least an hour. This is good for them to relax away from home, it teaches them not to get nervous and scared. We also got to test drive he honda element ;) perfect for dogs!!!

Cali Pals New Puppies

My mom and I are starting a new dog training company called, CaliPals Dog Training. We recently picked out two very sweet and loving puppies to train to be Pre-Trained puppies. I chose a Chocolate Labradoodle and named her Penny. She is a sweet heart. She has already learned "Sit" and we are working on "Down" and she is only 9 weeks old. My mom and dad chose a black female labradoodle puppy but we decided that her personality did not fit what we were looking for, so we exchanged her for a Black Male, we named him Buzz. He is alot calmer then the female and he just loves sitting on your lap and getting attention. Buzz has already learned to "Sit" and now we are working on "Down". Today we took them for a walk to our neighborhood park and worked on thier recalls, they are learning so fast and they are still so tiny.
